About Us

General Information

St Vincent’s Nursery is an independent nursery situated in the grounds of St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School and is owned by the Board of Governors of the School.  It operates as a Social Enterprise with any surplus funds being reinvested into the School, nursery and wider community.

The Nursery is judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted.  It has a separate Ofsted registration from the School and is registered to accommodate 75 children at any one time. The Nursery caters for children aged between 0 and 5 years and is open 48 weeks each year.  Hours are from 7:45am until 6:00pm with children attending for a variety of session combinations depending on their family’s needs. Children can attend either all year round or during school terms only.  Admission is on a first come, first served basis depending on session availability.  However, a number of places are reserved solely for full-time children.

Our Team

The Nursery employs 27 staff, 21 full-time and 6 part-time and is fortunate to have a highly experienced and qualified workforce.  There are four graduates on the team; two staff have Early Years Teacher Status and one further member of staff is a qualified teacher with experience of primary and secondary education.
