Children's Mental Health Week - February 2025

Lesson: Personal, Social and Emotional Education

In celebration of Children’s Metal Health Week, the children embarked on some very special adventures…

The Young Explorers travelled to Blue Planet Aquarium in Ellesmere Port. They were mesmerised by all the different colours, shapes and sizes of underwater creatures that they saw and particularly enjoyed walking through the tunnel where they observed the sharks and stingrays swimming above their heads.

The Early Learners ventured out to Smithills Farm in Bolton, where they enjoyed a slow and steady donkey ride, petting rabbits, alpacas, chickens and goats, watching the cows being milked and a bumpy tractor ride to feed the horses who could barely wait for their bread!

The Pre-school children fell in love with Blackpool Zoo, where they got to see so many different animals and observe them in their environment. The highlight of the day was watching the sea lions putting on a very special performance for them all!

What a very special treat for all our children, packing up picnics in their rucksacks, leaving the nursery for the day and making some very special memories with their friends!
