Parents as Partners

At St Vincent's Nursery we believe that working in partnership with parents is paramount not only to children's learning and development, but most of all their well-being. We welcome parents as partners and this relationship is built on trust, mutual respect and understanding. We operate an 'open door' policy at St Vincent's Nursery and the management team are available each day to answer any queries.

Each child is allocated a key person who all have knowledge and understanding on how children learn and develop, and have unique insight into your child's current interests and developmental needs are. The relationship between a key person, your child and you as a parent will begin even before your child starts at the nursery. We continue to build strong partnerships by informing parents about nursery activities and events through weekly room updates on our private social media page, Manager's Newsletters, parent notice boards, to name but a few.

We respect all our families' religious and cultural backgrounds, and make these part of our every day nursery life. Parents are welcomed to join us for any special events and celebrations held at the nursery - such as tea parties, garden parties, stay-and-play sessions, baking events, Christmas celebrations...

We respect that parents are children's first educators and pride ourselves in building strong, long-lasting relationships with our families.
