T&Cs and Fees

Application for a Nursery Place

Application forms must be completed and returned before a child can be considered for entry into the nursery. Places are offered on a “first come, first served” basis. However a number of places are reserved for children attending full time, all year round. Please note that if you have requested and been offered a wrap place for your child you can only change this to a term time place if there is one available.

Securing places/deposit

Places are offered subject to availability. If a place is available you will be given an admission form. To secure a place you will need to return the signed admission form together with a deposit of £75.00 Your deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

Changes to booked sessions/cancellation

Fees are payable from the booked start date. Once a place is booked, St Vincent’s Nursery requires one calendar month’s written notice if you no longer require your child’s place. If insufficient notice is given, full charge for the cancelled sessions will be made. If you wish to increase your child’s sessions this will be arranged as soon as a vacancy arises.

St. Vincent’s Nursery will close on all public bank holidays and for one week at Christmas, one week at Easter and the last two weeks in August.

Payment of Fees

Fees are required in advance, by standing order or bank transfer on or before the 5th of each month. From 1st September 2011 cheques will only be acceptable as a form of payment in exceptional circumstances and prior agreement must be obtained.

Invoices will be issued monthly and will include any additional sessions attended which must be paid for immediately. Failure to pay fees on time may result in your child’s nursery place being withdrawn. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue fees at the rate of 1.5% above the Bank of England base rate. You will be responsible for any bank charges incurred by the nursery in respect of non-payment of fees.

We would like parents to be aware that should closure due to extreme weather, emergency, or other exceptional circumstances be necessary, the nursery will not be able to refund fees for any closure days. However, please be assured that the nursery will only close in the event of exceptional and extreme circumstances or when there is a serious concern for the wellbeing of children and staff.

St. Vincent’s Nursery reserves the right to review fees annually.

Property and Belongings

All clothing and bags should be labelled. We accept no responsibility should any loss or damage occur to these or other belongings.

Parents are requested not to send their child to nursery if they are suffering from any infectious disease or if they are not feeling well enough to attend. The nursery reserves the right to contact parents if their child becomes ill whilst at nursery and may request that the child is taken home.

Accident procedures

The nursery reserves the right to administer basic first aid and treatment where necessary. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign an Accident Form. For accidents of a more serious nature requiring hospital treatment, all attempts will be made to contact parents but failing this, the nursery will assume consent to take your child to hospital.

Parents MUST notify the nursery immediately of any change to contact details and medical information.

Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to leave the nursery with anyone unknown to the nursery staff unless previously arranged by the parent or guardian. When parents make last minute arrangements by telephone, the nursery will require a password and the name and description of the nominated person and the nominated person will need to provide identification.

Safeguarding Children

In the case of suspected neglect, physical or sexual abuse of children, it is our duty and legal responsibility to report our concerns to Social Services.
